Hakan Did-It: A Journey into the Future of Mobility

Throughout my career, I’ve been given many nicknames. 😊 But the one that stuck with me the most — and the one I’ve cherished the most — is “Hakan Do-It.”This nickname was inspired by an iconic scene from the Star Wars series. Because I often repeated Master Yoda’s famous line to Luke Skywalker, my colleagues began calling me by this name:

“Do or do not. There is no try.”

This quote has been my life principle for years.

And now, I’m filled with joy to have brought to life an event I’ve dreamed of for several years. I can now say, with full confidence: “Hakan Did-It.”

On May 14, 2025, we successfully held our summit titled “The Future of Mobility,” organized in collaboration between the Sustainable Mobility Initiative Association (SMI) — which we officially established two years ago — and Forbes Türkiye.

With nearly 500 participants, the summit brought together all stakeholders of the mobility ecosystem and offered the broadest perspective on the future of mobility compared to similar events in Europe.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who attended the summit — to all SMI members, to Forbes Türkiye, to A. Burçak Güven, to Halit Bolkan, and to all our panelists and keynote speakers.
