Automotive Sector Slowdown Continues: Mercedes-Benz’s 2025 Financial Results

The ongoing contraction in the automotive sector has once again been reflected in the financial performance of Mercedes-Benz. In 2025, total vehicle sales reached 2.2 million units, of which 1.8 million were passenger cars, representing a 9% decline in this segment. Sales in the Chinese market fell by 19%. The company’s profitability for 2025 dropped by 49%, decreasing to €5.3 billion, while total revenue declined by 9% to €132.2 billion. These results include €3.5 billion in cost-saving measures. The CEO described the financial performance as “within expectations.”
