Things aren’t going well for the legendary brand Jaguar. In the first five months of 2025, sales dropped by 75%.
Only 49 vehicles were sold in April
Only 86 vehicles were sold in May
The reasons:
Internal combustion models were discontinued: As part of the brand’s strategy for electric transition, internal combustion engine (ICE) models were removed from production.
New electric models are not yet on the market: The new electric model, which was expected to launch this year, has been postponed to the summer of 2026.
Woke-themed rebranding process: The new brand identity campaign imposed on one of the world’s most masculine car brands failed to resonate and received negative feedback.
The result: No cars, no customers, no sales.
The strategy launched to revive the brand is now standing out as a “successful failure” story that is leading the brand toward disappearance.
