The Fiat 500 is an iconic car developed years ago under the leadership of Luca de Meo, who was then at Fiat and later became CEO of Renault. It was designed to compete in the same segment as the BMW Mini and was sold at a similar price range. Along with the Doblo, it was one of the key representatives of the then-independent Fiat brand in the European market.
The Renault 5 holds an important place in French automotive history as a beloved classic model. After Luca de Meo became CEO of Renault, this model was redesigned and reintroduced as an electric version.
These two cars should not be compared to electric vehicles from Korea, China, or other non-European manufacturers, as these iconic city cars have their own distinct customer base who specifically prefer them.
